I am Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Ateneo de Manila University. I recently finished my Ph.D. at Macquarie University in 2022, where I worked on an account of the epistemic virtues of a teacher, under the supervision of Prof. Albert Atkin. My work has been published in journals like Synthese, Episteme, and Social Epistemology.

I specialize in virtue epistemology and epistemology of education. Much of the existing overlap between virtue epistemology and philosophy of education focuses on the epistemic virtues that good learners must cultivate, so in my doctoral research, I decided to work on "pedagogical virtues," the epistemic excellences of a teacher insofar as she is a teacher, and not just a generic epistemic agent.

My latest research (forthcoming in Ethics and Education) explores how explicitly teaching students not to develop epistemic vices can help address the potential limitations of intellectual character education.
